The creative process was driven by an admiration of 20th-century art and design movements, committing to a modernist approach and a singular style. Its approach to luxuriousness and timelessness relies on a monumental, but elementary use of shape - it plays on a constant balance between softness and precision.
This collection transcends mere aesthetics. Its versatile design allows it to seamlessly integrate with minimalist, mid-century modern, brutalist, contemporary, or industrial environments. Each piece adapts effortlessly, offering a modern twist or being a grounding element, depending on your vision.
The journey began with the creation of a shelf—a pivotal piece that set the tone for the entire collection.
The goal was to make it both functional and visually captivating. The shelf features a combination of elements: a closed cabinet for discreet storage, open shelves for easy access, and a display shelf for showcasing cherished items. After the shelf came the sideboard—a functional piece tailored for those seeking practical storage solutions. As a final step, we created the coffee table which embodied strength, size, and functionality. Drawing inspiration from our collection's design elements, it introduced a playful twist—a bold, stacked appearance that breaks up its volume into a dynamic step-like structure. Hidden within one of the compartments lies a secret storage space, adding an extra layer of utility.
Behind this collection was an iterative and extensive creative process, involving research, conceptualisation, design development, prototyping, and refinement to move from the initial idea to production-ready pieces.
Our design philosophy for the collection is best characterised by a complete dedication to clean-cut lines and organic shapes, while mindfully using contrast, bringing together natural and industrial elements.
The sober warmth of the wood and the elegance of steel suit a variety of design themes. Both materials were chosen, not just for their look, but as a commitment to noble, sturdy and long-lasting craftsmanship.
